Husek Wien wins ahead of SK Advisory Invest Baden

Austrian Bundesliga 2008/2009 finished yesterday with powerful team of Husek Wien grabbing the trophy two points ahead of SK Advisory Invest Baden. The competition took place over three weekends – 7-9th November in St.Veit, 22-25th January in Graz and 19-22nd March in Ansfelden.
Husek Wien lined 11 Grandmasters, although the top-seeded Gata Kamsky did not play. Fabiano Caruana, his coach Alexander Chernin and Viktor Laznicka slayed the opposition on the lower boards. Boris Gelfand held SK Advisory Invest Baden in the race by scoring fantastic 7.0/8 on the top board for rating performance of 2914.
