1.Ng5 leads to 1-0
1.Ng5 leads to 1-0
1. Ng5, threatening
2. Qxh7#
1. … h5
2. Qxh5 gxh5
3. Bh7#
I’ve seen this motive too many times not to spot it right away.
1. Ng5 h5 (1. .. h6 2. Qxh6) 2. Qxh5 gxh5 3. Bh7#
1) Ng5 h5
2) Qxh5! gxh5
3) Bh7#
1. Ng5 h5 the only move as Qxh7 mate is being threatened
2. Qxh5!!gxh5 forced
3. Bh7#
1. Ng5 h6
2. QXh6 Re8
3. Qg7#
1. Ng5 h5 (if 1. … h6 then 2. Qxh6 followed by 3. Qh7#) 2. Qxh5!! gxh5 3. Bh7#
Lovely!
It took a while, but I got there in the end!
1. Ng5 h5 (only move to avoid mate with Qh7)
2. Q:h5 gh (ditto)
3. Bh7#
Ng5 h5
Qxh5 gxh
Bh7#
N-g5 wins. If black defends against the mate with h5, Qxh5 wins since gxh5 allows B-h7++.
1. Ng5 h5
2. Qh5 gh5
3. Bh7 Mate
Ng5 h5
Qxh5
1. Ng5! h5 (forced)
(Re8 or h6 is mate in two for White)
2. Qxh5!! gxh5 (again forced)
3. Bh7+ checkmate
1Ng5 h5
2Qh5! fh
3Bh7++
1. Ng5 h5
2. Qxh5 gxh5
3. Bxh7#
1. Ng5!! h5
*** If 1… h6 2. Qxh6 Bxf6 3. Qh7 mate
2. Qxh5 gxh5
3. Bh7 mate
Knight forcing the black to advance the pawn then Knight doubles the Queen and Rook.. not sure though how it will end. Did not analyze beyond that..
Knight forcing to move pawn 2 squares. Knight again doubling on the queen and rook.
Oopps its N first, forcing pawn move. Then Attack with bishop. Depending on his next move we could attack with Knight or …
Am I missing something? Or is this as simple as
1. Ng5! and mate is unstoppable
At least nothing seems to work:
1…Bxf6 2.Qxh7#
1…Re8 2.Qxh7+ Kf8 3.Qxf7#
1…h6 2.Qxh6 Re8 (2…Bxf6 3.Qh7#) 3.Qg7#
1. Ng5 h5 2. Qxh5! gxh5 3. Bh7++
My first and till now only idea here is:
1. Ng5 h5 (enforced)
2. Bxe7 Nxe7
3. g4 Nf5 (what else?)
4. Bxf5 exf5
5. gxh5
and black king position is clearly weakened, but so is white’s also I guess…..
I doubt this can be the right solution.
1. Ng5! h5 (enforced)
2. Bxe7 Nxe7 (alternative below)
3. Nxe6! Nf5 (fxe6 Bxg6 looks ugly for black)
4. Nxd8 Nxh4
5. Nxb7
is up with a piece
2. … Qxe7
3. g4!
and black’s king position seems to fall apart.
Yeah, it looks like AGAIN I “forgot to mention” (meaning did not see) the most critical variant:
1…h5 2.Qxh5 gxh5 3.Bxh7#
