Nf3 and Nd2+ seem to give a lot of tempo for white to promote the pawn. Followed by Kf4 or Kxf4 it stops black’s f pawn from promoting. White wins I guess.
I am sorry, but my comment isn’t regarding the chess. Its regarding you and not the game itself. If i am not wrong you are the person on whom National Geographic(I saw it on National Geographic) had made the documentary on. The documentary was based on Pattern Recognition and how you store these patterns in your mind in order to come up the next move. On this regard I was wondering if i can ask you a personal question ? anoop (period) kn (address) gmail (period) com 🙂 PS: I don’t play chess, its outside the realm of chess !

On a second thought, perhaps Nf1 gives white an extra tempo after the Nd2+.

1.Nf3 and what can black do? White next move is Nxg5 and advance his h-pawn with an easy win.
if black plays:
1…..f4+
2.Kg4 and black loses his g5 pawn with Nxg5, followed by the advance of his h-pawn.
And if:
1…..g4
2.Ng5+ Kf3 (Or, Kf5)
3.h4 and it’s an easy win
