This reminds me of a Steinitz game with the backwards developing move to attack: 1. Rxg7+ Kxg7 2. Qf7+ Kh6 3. Qxf6+ Kh5 4. Bd1+ Steinitz patented attacking move!!!! 4……….g4 5. Bxg4+ Kxg4 6. h3+ and it is mate no matter where Black goes. Thank you Australian Morphy!!!!
1.Rg7 Kg7 2.Qf7+ and now after 2..Kh8
or 2..Kh6, Qf6+ #
After Kh6, Qxf6 is not mate 🙂

I think samikd has the right idea:
1. Rg7 Kg7 (otherwise Qxh7 mate)
2. Qf7+ Kh6 (if Kh8, Qxf6 mate)
3. Qxf6+ Kh5
4. Bf7+ Kg4
5. h3+ Kxh3
6. Qf5+ g4
7. Qh5 mate
I solved this.
1. Rxg7 Kxg7 (1. …h6 2. Qxh6#Other moves 2.Qxh7#)
2. Qf7+ Kh6 (2. …Kh8 3.Qf6#)
3. Qxf6+ Kh5
Now I thought Bd1 is mate. But g4 saves black. Hence
4. Bf7+ Kg4
5. f3+ Kh3
6. Qh6#

Nice Puzzle.
I did not get it but I like the solution.
Is this right?
1. Rxg7 Kxg7
2. Qf7+
if 2.. Kh8 3. Qxf6+
2.. Kh6
3. Qxf6+ Kh5
I thought Bd1 was mate but missed g4 at first.
4. Bf7+ Kg4
5. f3+ Kh3
6. Qxh7#
I bet a grandmaster look at this and see it instantly. I’m working on getting better at that.
Why not Bf7 then
Bg6 and Qxh7 with mate
to follow
ok I see something good
1.rxg7 kxg7 2.qf7 kh6 3.qf6 kh5 4.g4 kxp 5 bd1++ and gameover. im a blitz 1400 player too.
