Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Wang Hao is not doing well so far.
This is an enormous surprise and a very big achievement for the Egyptian player. How does he do it? Competing in a very prestigious event and leading it! Does he have a coach? Who are his seconds? Because the other competitors sure have lots of help around.
Anyway, there is a strong adversary between Israelis and Arabs even though Egypt has a peace treaty with us. I hope that there will be chess ties with the rising Egyptians chess players and that we will learn to lose with dignity over the chess board and sometimes also win with grace of course. 🙂
After Round 8 , Ahmed Adly had increased his lead to a 1 pt. lead.
Susan and chess fans! watch his tactical shot in Round 8 against Laznicka the chech. It is a beauty. Here is the link
