With the White pieces in round 10 while leading the tournament, Jacob Aagaard went all out and lost to IM Stephen Gordon. In the last round, IM Gordon had white against GM Kosten while IM Aagaard had black against GM Flear. Gordon drew and Aagard won, giving him the 2007 British Championship crown. He sure did not do it the easy way.

Felicitations Champ!
I also love your books too!
You are definately “excelling” in chess.
Will England ever win the British Championship.
Aagaard plays quite well. I lost to him once. However then he represented some other country 🙂
These scots are crazy and wild people! hahaha.Congratulations!
I was lucky enough to be there (Great Yarmouth is my home town) – about 200 people stayed to see the last moves, the game taking 7 hours. Aagaard made a very modest acceptance speech at the next day’s prize giving. A brilliant two weeks!
