Raising MONEY to help our friends and colleagues
I am auctioning off a chess board with the signatures of all members of the 2004 HISTORIC U.S. WOMEN’S SILVER MEDALIST OLYMPIAD TEAM and all its coaches (IM Irina Krush, WGM Anna Zatonskih, WIM Jennifer Shahade, WGM Rusa Goletiani, GMs Garry Kasparov, Boris Gulko, Sam Palatnik, Gennady Zaitchik, Alex Chernin, Team Captain Paul Truong and me, etc.)
There are only four like it in the world and one will go to the Chess Hall of Fame and Museum. The opening bid will start at $1,000. Please e-mail me at PolgarFoundation@aol.com with your confidential bids. The bidding will close at midnight on September 15, 2005. 100% of your tax-deductible donations earmarked to Katrina victims will go to help them!
I will update the current highest bids regularly on https://chessdailynews.com/ and http://www.susanpolgarfoundation.org/. I will also introduce more items for auction in the next few days. Please check on the above sites for additional items.
Thank you everyone!
Susan Polgar
This is such a noble cause. Thank you Susan for taking the lead on behalf of our chess community.

Good job Susan!
Very generous of you.
Excellent idea! You’re the best Susan!
Edward
Awesome generous of you Susan, but why don’t you remove the first two comments? Has poker anything to do with raising money for a good cause?
In other instances, you showed not much remorse to remove unwanted comment.
I hope you will be able to raise a lot of money! Good luck Susan. My check is on its way to you.
Joyce
Susan, great effort by you! Thank you for all that you do.
Best,
Dave
I definitely don’t have all the answers, but I know that as long as people keep sharing ideas like this, the truth will eventually reveal itself and maybe it can make a difference somewhere.
I think this blog rocks! Keep up the good work, I’ve bookmarked it and will definitely swing by again soon.
