Three schedules:
Traditional: one round every day
6-day option: two games per day on the 8/8-8/10; 12 and 7pm, 8/11-8/13; 7pm.
Time control 40/2, SD/1 all games;
5-day option: Rounds 1-5 G/60, 8/9 2 rounds 6 & 8:30pm. 8/10 4 rounds; 10-1-3:30-7. 8/11 at 3pm. All schedules merge after round 5. Round 9 is at 3PM on Sunday, August 13th.
Prizes:
Top places: $6000-3000-2000-1000-600-400-300-200.
Top Master (2200 – 2399) $2000 – 1000- 600 – 400.
Top Expert $2000 -1000-600-400.
Class Prizes: Top A $2000 – 1000 – 600 – 400.
Top B $2000 – 1000 – 600 – 400.
Top C $2000 – 1000 – 600 – 400.
Top D $1500 – 700 – 500 – 300.
Top E and below $1200 – 600 – 400 – 200.
Top Unrated: $600 – 300 – 200.
Byes:
Above 1600, two half point byes.
Below 1600, one half point bye.
Zero point bye any round.
No half point byes last two rounds.
Half-point byes must be requested by end of previous round.
Maximum two 1/2-pt. byes if requested at least 3 hours before round, no byes allowed last 2 rds.
EF: $125 if register online by 7/2 ($130 mail or phone entry), $155 register online by 7/16 ($160 main or phone), $175 online up to 8/4 ($180 onsite).
August USCF rating supplement used.
CCA ratings will be used.
Foreign player ratings: 100 pts added to FIDE, 100 to FQE, 200+ to most foreign, no pts added to CFC.
Established USCF rating used unless CCA is higher, otherwise highest of multiple ratings.

I have a question, does anyone know anything about the format for the next US championship or if they are going to have a separate US womens championship or how they plan to qualify the women? There have been no women spots, and its already half the year and no announcements about this at all.
No one seems to know. Even the USCF and the AF4C do not seem to know.

Why is there such a lack of GM participation at this tourney? What can be done to improve this?
