Cuba’s Bruzon Becomes New National Chess Champ

Santa Clara, Cuba, Feb 1, (P26).- Cuban Grand Master (GM) On Wednesday, Lazaro Bruzon recovered the national chess title that he had won in 2005 in the final match of the national championship. The contest was held at the Eco hall in central Villa Clara province.
The match ended 4.5—3.5. Bruzon played with white pieces in the second rapid tiebreak game. Previously, the two 25-minute, and the first five-minute game had ended in draws.
