The children of today need to know how many options for success exist to help them to grow despite poverty, violence, broken families, and other factors surrounding them. We hope to have youth from every high school in the Bay Area participating.” Banjoko plans to host tournaments similar to these in other parts of the nation throughout the year.
Hip Hop Chess & Life Strategy exhibition and tournament will commence with teaching chess to the new players while experienced players can play a relaxed game with various rappers and martial artists. There will be tournaments between rappers and martial artist, as well as a tournament for the kids. Prizes will be awarded to participants in the youth tournament. Be prepared to see some surprise guest and observe what is sure to be some unforgettable grudge matches.

Parents, I *think* this chess content is OK w/r/t language, but did not listen to it carefully.
Folks like me may know GZA of Wu-Tang Clan via Chappelle or the scene w/ Bill Murray in Jarmusch’s _Coffee & Cigarettes_
Right On! I love this!

Uncle Marv lives in my neighborhood….
All the X-Men movies has a scene of playing chess.
OK, if I didn’t believe it before I truly believe it now. Susan is very sincere when it comes to promoting the game. Who else would promote an event like this, regarding something positive within the African-American community, besides her? Thankfully, Europeans seem to have a different view of race than a lot of Americans. Good job Susan!
Yes , but Jay-Z did a bad move during the commercial show …if i remember well, his Rook jumped the King …?!
