Love him or not…GM Kramnik has proven he is a fabulous chess player.
Anand will, most likely, be his successor. However, we never know.
There are so many who praise Bobby Fischer, despite him being a rascist, anti-semite, etc. BUT, he was amongst the greatest chess players.
If people can ignore such negative qualities in Fischer and just concentrate on his OTB play, then so can those who dislike Kramnik.
He is the WCC. That title is more than one person. If nothing else, respect the title and give credit for Kramniks successes.
You don’t have to like him personally. But, he has proven himself over and over…and so has Topalov.
So, I hope that we can move on and look to the tournament in Mexico.
My only regret: The WCC will be determined by tournaments rather than matches. But, at least it gives more players the opportunity.

Kramnik proves again and again he is the worthy World Champ!
(and he can behave himself!)
RESPECT for the Vlad!!! :))
Vlad is just the best player around! He proves it with ease.
His games are amazing.
Yes, his deep
understanding of this game is amazing!

Good comments but difficult to put into practice with Fischer. A exaggerated example is trying to appreciate Hitler(whom it would seem Fischer supports?) as a great statesman and politician without the other stuff. People come as complete packages.
Todays game where Kramnik won in the Marshall Gambit from the black side against Leko who took that incredible Marshall Gambit from Kramnik at the WC match when Leko was black. Again another incredible black win. this time by Kramnik.
Make sure you go over the game. Leko knows the Marshall so Kramnik won with such ease is incredible. And Kramnik did it blindfold although it seems obvious that he had it mostly worked out ahead of time because he used so little clock time on the game.
It was definitely an exciting game to watch live.
Vladimir Kramnik: Chess is so deep that I am simply lost.
What honesty, what humility, what brilliancy over the board, in the mind. Would that other Chess players were as realistic, as genuine.
Kramnik is smashing the worlds best. Kramnik is the deepest and best chessplayer the world has ever seen. he is underappreciated much like other geniuses in their time. Van Gogh was not admired until long dead and I think most idiots that disparage the chess of Kramnik will not stand up to the history books. Susan your bias is pathetic. History will look upon Kramniks understanding of chess in different light than what it is viewed today. the media bias of those connected to Kasparov and others you know who you are will be vanquished. Kramniks legacy will reign supreme.
Hi friends I agree comments about champion. I always say that chess played by Kramnik is very deep.
He proved this several times (and sure for many years he has nothing to prove anyone he is just one of the best of all times no need for a new proof).
Remember he gave no single game to Kasparov in 2000 match. So who is stronger? Kaspy or Kramnik?
Overall record is 23 Kaspy win 22 Kramnik win and 79 drawn! (according to chessgames.com database) I think there is no much difference. And at somepoints Kramnik is better and at some points Kasparov but there is not a huge difference.
It seems Kramnik looses if he chooses a wrong line which appears as wrong decision after say 10 moves. He is not someone blunders and looses immediately, I only remember at last years loss against Deep Fritz, mate in one which was a blindish accident. But generally Kramnik is not a blunder master.
We enjoy his games whether he draws in 20 moves I like his style.
Last two blindfold wins against Aronian and Leko was really games impressive thinking that they were blindfold! (especially endgame tactics of Kramnik). Especially win over Aronian was really a lecture to Armenian grandmaster!
Congratulations and good luck to him in his whole life.
