Susan said: “Nadal just captured his 3rd consecutive French Open titles by defeating world’s #1 Roger Federer! He’s the youngest ever to accomplish this”. I guess she means the youngest to wibn 3 RGs in a row. Borg was 24 when he made it (1980). Nadal has just turned 21.
Even if she meant “his 3rd RG ever”, Susan was right. Borg won his 3rd RG in 1978, being 22.
Nadal is more close to win on the grass than Federer to win on clay. Next year, Nadal will be fighting to beat the record of Borg and Federer to win it for the first time again. How could the aclaimed best player ever not win on clay once and not beat the second player in the world? Nadal just follows the steps of Sergio Bruguera in his style and Bruguera do not win more titles just because of injuries. For me, the best player in the world must win Roland Garros just because, for me it is on clay that we see who are the really best players. It is more important to win all the surfaces and not winning only in some of them lots of titles. Federer will only win in Paris if Nadal is injured or not playing the event. No away! Federer will never beat Nadal on clay.
bjon borg was younger when achieve his 3rd title at french open
I’m huge fan of Nadal. Vamos Rafa! 🙂
A pitty Roger didn’t make it.
Nadal played better though.

How very unpleasant this young man looks.
All you americans can root for federer.
We spanish (aka people from spain) support rafa. Last year, he was the only one to grab a set in wimbledon to federer.
This year he’s playing better, he can make it. Defeat him at the All England Club.
Vamos, Rafa.

Rafael Nadal will be the world number one, probably a lot sooner than people think (except for us Nadal fans).
Simply the Best! Rafa Wins Rome!
