Ah…another April Fools joke?!
At the time when I’m posting this, Judit Polgar is given as 2709 on the Women’s List, yet is not given on the Overall List, which otherwise includes all those over 2700…
(Judit, of course should be No. 21 on the Overall list, not Bu.)
I see the comment ‘I do not know why Judit’s name is not listed on this spot’ has been added.
So it’s FIDE’s screw-up.
No surprise there, then. They seem to screw something up on just about every rating list they issue.
FIDE are fools every day of the year, not just 1 April.
“FIDE are fools every day of the year, not just 1 April.”
I gather you are not fond of the Federation you are a member of? Oh, why?
Thought you were packing already? Updating while packing?
“Anonymous said…
Thought you were packing already? Updating while packing?”
Sorry to disappoint Anon, but you are the biggest fool today. 🙂
Best Wishes,
Another “Anon”
Leaving Judit out must be an April Fool’s joke.
“I do not know why Judit’s name is not listed on this spot.”
Maybe because men will be men and women will be women in chess from now on?
I hope it’s just an error. I can’t imagine them trying to keep her out of the list on purpose, but who knows, FIDE has some strange people.
“Maybe because men will be men and women will be women in chess from now on?”
Would be correct in the lists… that would be equal treatment.
Still better would be having just one list for both…. but this would look very poor for the women with only Judith in the Top100.
Hmmm….
By the way not only Judith’s name is missing but my one, too. 😉
Best regards
Jochen
Humpy needs only 200 more points to overtake her compatriot Vishy Anand!
Go Humpy!!
“FIDE has some strange people.”
Oh yeah? Mention three if you dare.
Judit will come back to the place where she belongs to after April Fool.
Morozevich is now No.3 on this FIDE recent rating list.
I believe if he is more organised, he will have the chance to become world champion likes Kramnik, Anand, Topalov and Kamsky as well as Aronian and Carlsen (Magnus the magnificent).
I think he should get married and has a wife/care giver just like Anand has Aruna to take care all his non-chess/non-tehniques matters.

utagidzbHopefully Judith will regain her top form soon ,and be back in top 10 ,on next rating list, where she belongs to.
I don’t see any explanation on the FIDE website explaining what caused the error. We are owed an explanation.
Pathetic.
What other errors, not so easily discernible, might there be lurking about that we don’t know about?
And don’t they have any proofreaders/checkers of the final results? Any discerning look by somebody competent should have picked this up. Really not good enough at all.
