    1.Qf3 with the idea of 2.Qc3# doesnt work after 1. .. Kb4 2. Qc3+ Ka4 and only perpetual.
    But 1.Qb1 with the idea of 2.Qb5+ Kd4 3.Qd5# seems to work.

    1.Qb1 Kd4 (Qg8 (to protect d5) 2. Qa2+ +-)
    2.Qb3 Qxe4+
    3.Kd6 Qg2
    4.Qc3+ Ke4
    5.Qc6+ +-

    I guess 1. Qb1 wins… Threats checkmate in 2. If 1. … Qf7 (to defend the d5 square) then 2. Qa2+ wins the queen.

    there is one more tricky variation.

    1.Qb1 Kd4 (Qg8 (to protect d5) 2. Qa2+ +-)
    2.Qb3 Qxe4+
    3.Kd6 Qa8
    4.Qe3+ Kc4
    5.Qc3+ Kb5
    6.Qb3+ Ka6
    7.Qa4+ Kb7
    8.Qb5+ Ka7 (8…Kc8 9.Qd7+ and Qc7#)
    9.Kc7 +-

    If:
    1. Qc1+ Kd4??
    2. Qc3+ Kxe4 forced
    3. Qc2+ and black can resign.

    Fritz showed me the correct answer (not in the variation I present). I would not have gotten this one. No I won’t tell you the answer. Figure it out yourself please.
