The International Scholastic chess and Technology Conference in San Luis concludes this evening. I was asked to give a 90 minute lecture today in Spanish about:
– College chess at the highest level
– The road from being an amateur to a professional
– The intellectual development of children through chess practice
It has been a fantastic experience. I am very impressed with what is taking place with chess in the schools in San Luis, Argentina. I hope to be able to duplicate this success in Lubbock and many places throughout the United States.

Does the USCF organize similar conferences?
