Yes, I thought Bxf6 looked tempting to, but it took me a while to figure out the continuation if black took the bishop. The continuation would be: …gxf6 Qxf6+ Kg8 Rd3 with the threat of Rg3 mate. Black will have to give up stuff to defend, and even then I’m not sure it would work.
The actual game went differently, so I think black saw the consequences of taking the bishop and declined. He played something else and the game went for many more moves.
Yes, Qb8+ ist generelly a big problem I think. This is why White should play either 1.d6 But than? I have really no idea. And it also blockades the way to the King-side for the Queen!
