2.Nd5 Qd8 By protecting N at f6 black seems to have weathered the storm but
3.Bb6 Nc7
4.Bxc7 Qxc7
5.Nxf6+ Kh8
6.Nxe8 wins a R and now 6…. Qe7 gives opportunity for liquidating Qs whereas 6…. Qd8 7.Nxd6 Bxd6 8.c5 also gives liquidation opportunity.
Probably best is to just concede the piece with 2. …..Qd2, or maybe 2. ….Ne4, though the latter is a bit complex for my head right now. Even if black follows your line to 3.Bb6, I think 3. ….cd5 might be as good as the other lines- it gets a bishop and knight for the queen.
That first sentence should have read “2…..Qd2, or maybe 1. ….Ne4,”
1.Nc2 Nxe4 2.Nxe4 Qxd2 3.Bxd2 Re5 4.Bc3 Re6 5.Nd4 Re7 6.Nf6+ Kh8 7.Rxe7 Bxe7 8.Nxc6 bxc6 9.Nd5+ Kg8 10.Nxe7+ Kf8 11.Nxc6 and White is a N and a pawn up so 1.Nc2 Qa5 2.Nd5 Qxd2 seems to be the least bad option.
1…. Nxe4 2.Bxe4 wins a piece for a P.
Oh! I forgot that c7 is also covered by N at d5. He has to lose Q anyway.
