Let it be known that Spassky had many trainers and that this patz was just one of them.
cyclo
Let it be known that Mr. Volovich was a very strong player who won the Moscow city championship in 1968 ahead of many stong GM’s.
His rating at his peak was somewhere around 2500 during the 1970’s…if you look in the old informants from that era you will get his exact rating…possibly fide goes back that far.
I can tell you that this man in his seventies and having survived a major stroke as well as having a weak heart still plays at an incredible master strength!
So next time you want to disprarage someone….don’t think of My trainer & friend Anatoly… think only of yourself!!
I know a 60% anatoly could beat you
100% of the time and still have time for rest!
