A rapid chess tournament dedicated to the memory of the third Women’s World Chess Champion Elisaveta Bykova was held on 2-3rd April in Suzdal, one of the oldest Russian towns and part of Russian Golden Ring.
The event was 11-round Swiss with the time control 15′+10” and valid for the Rapid Grand Prix of Russia. 119 players, including 17 Grandmasters, competed.
Five players shared the first place with 8,5/11 points and GM Pavel Ponkratov was declared winner on best tie-break.
The total prize fund was 5800 EUR.
