The top 4 seeds: Nakamura, Kamsky, Onischuk and Shulman have qualified for the final quad at the US Championship.
Shulman and Onischuk drew on board 1. On board 2, Nakamura barely survived against the evergreen Larry Christiansen, who at one point in the game had the win in his hands. Kamsky also survived against Shabalov on board 3 to advance.

I like Larry C. He is one cool dude. I believe he won Linares one year. Now that is something.
It would be nice to see him win this but he is not in the top 4.
I personally would like to see this entire tournament pick a challenger to Nakamura in a real championship match. That will be top notch.
If you want to be Champion then you should have to beat the Champion in a match.
