I think a simple Qh1 check should be enough to win the knight:
1. …..Qh1 2. Ke2
Here, 2.Qg1 is no better: [2.Qg1 Rg2 3.Qh1 Rh1 4.Kg2 Re1 and black is up a piece and a pawn].
2. …..Rg2 3. Rh1 Rf2 4. Rf2 Rh1 and black is still up a piece and a pawn.
I have that nagging feeling that I am missing a mate in here somewhere, but if it is there, I am just completely blind to it, and I have tried every plausible looking move without finding it.
The weak spot in White’s position is f3, so if a Rook gets there, it seems to me that White loses material. And if the R goes to g3, White can’t stop it from going to f3.
1. Qh1+ wins the knight in all lines: a) 1. … Qg1 2. Rxg2 Qxh1 (can’t take the rook) 3. Rxh1 Kxg2 4. Rxe1 black is up with a knigt. b) 1. … Ke2 2. Qxg2 black is up with a knigt. c) 1. … Ke2 2. Rxg2 Rxh1 3. Rxf2+ Rxf2 4. Rxh1 black is up with a knigt.
Rxg2
White loses a knight
… Qh1+
Qg1 Rxg2
Qxh1 Rxh1+
Kxg2 Rxe1
h2-h1+ – however white responds to it, next move: g8xg2. Seems simple – am I missing something?

1 … Qh1+
2 Ke2 Rxg2!
3 Rxh1 Rxf2+
4 Rxf2
The alternative of 4 Kxf2 isn’t much better or worse.
4 … Rxh1
Black is up a piece and a pawn and will win White’s a-pawn soon.
The weak spot in White’s position is f3, so if a Rook gets there, it seems to me that White loses material.

1. … Rg3
2. … Rf3
3. RxR exf
4. Qxf3 Qh1+
5. Ke2 RxN+
6. Kd1 Rd2+
7. KxR QxQ
At the cost of 2 rooks and a pawn, Black takes Queen, Rook, and Knight, and nothing else is any better after Rf3.
Mark
I like Qh1+, which leads to a won ending. A possible line is
1 .. Qh1+
2. Qg1 .. Rxg2
3. Qxh1 .. Rxh1+
4. Kxg2 .. Rxe1
Ma’a Salama!
qh1+ first
han
1… Qh1+ followed by 2…Rxg2 seems to win a piece in all variations.
Rxg2 😉
Qh1+!
1. Qh1+ wins the knight in all lines:
a)
1. … Qg1
2. Rxg2 Qxh1 (can’t take the rook)
3. Rxh1 Kxg2
4. Rxe1 black is up with a knigt.
b)
1. … Ke2
2. Qxg2 black is up with a knigt.
c)
1. … Ke2
2. Rxg2 Rxh1
3. Rxf2+ Rxf2
4. Rxh1 black is up with a knigt.
1…Qh1+! 2.Qg1 (2.Ke2 Qxg2) Rxg2! 3.Qxh1 Rxh1+ 4.Kxg2 Rxe1 -+
1…Qh1+ 2.Qg1 Rxg2
1…Qh8+
2 Qg1 ( forced )Rxg2
3 Qxh8 Rxh8+ wins a piece
1. … Qh1+
2. Qg1 (Ke2 Qxg2 +-)
… Rxg2
3. Qxh1 Rxh1+
4. Kxh2 Rxe1
and black is a piece up.
1… Qh1+
2.Qg1 Rg2
3.QxQh1 Rxh1+
4.KxRg2 RxRe1
if 2.Ke2 Rxg2 3.Rxh1 Rxf2+ followed by Rxh1
Rg3 is win.
I also tryed many… in most, black is lost. Sample:
1. … Qh1+
2. Qf1 Rh3
3. Qxh1 Rxh1+
4. Kf2 Rf3+
5. Rxf3 Rxe1
And maybe a better position for black.
Black must play Ne8!!, planning Ng7…Ne6, supporting an eventual f7-f5-f4 break.
Any chance of a solution love?
I looked at Rg3 just now, and it does win, too, but Qh1 is better.
Qh1+
Qg1
Rxg2
Qxh1
Rxh1
Kxg2
Rxe1 -+
