Aw Come On!
If there is ever an Irina Krush line of black leather jackets, I’m going to buy one. Hopefully, every time I stroke the smooth black leather, that will rub off on my chess playing as well.

Just another stupid US Championship format created by some poker player. Why can’t we have normal RR or Swiss system? This brilliant system, not, does not even allow norm possibility.
That poker player just happens to be a two time U.S. Women’s chess champion, btw. I like the format. You get the comprehensive round robin format and the exciting head to head match play for the title. Most RRs or long swiss tournaments almost always end with the contenders playing people out of the running in a totally anti-climactic round. This system is more in line with most traditional sports. You have a regular season that earns you a chance at the playoffs and the final game is guaranteed to produce the champion.
This system is very good!
