Hovhannisyan ends Girish winning pace

PanARMENIAN.Net – Armenia’s Robert Hovhannisyan has ended the winning pace of Girish Koushik of India, defeating him in the 9th round to take the lead with 8 points at the World Junior Chess Championship.
Another Armenian grandmaster Samvel Ter-Sahakyan is second in the standings with 7.5 points.
In the girls’ tournament, Armenia’s Maria Gevorgyan defeated Savithri Narenthran of Australia and is currently 42nd with 4 points.
