If it is white to play 1Qxg7+ Kxg7 2Nxe6+ and 3NxQc5 winning a piece. If it is black to play I do not have enough time in this early morning. I will try later.
A nice little puzzle. My eye came to 1.Ne6 first, but this isn’t as good as it looks since black plays Qe3+ and then captures the knight at e6 netting a pawn. With that out of the way, the pseudosacrifice of the white queen came immediately:
When I opened the site in the morning the two line “White to play…..” and “Source…..” were absent.Hence I had to write “if white to play”.May be there was some error in opening the site.
Okie, I’ve found the combination before I’ve seen the trap.
The trap:
1.Nxe6? Qxe3+
2.whatever Qxe6
The combination:
1.Qxg7+ Kxg7
2.Nxe6+ whatever
3.Nxc5
Another check or take algorithm-based solution.
If it is white to play
1Qxg7+ Kxg7
2Nxe6+ and 3NxQc5 winning a piece.
If it is black to play I do not have enough time in this early morning. I will try later.
Dxg7 Rxg7 Cxe5 Then you can take the queen easily
Qxg7 Rxg7 Cxe6 … Take the queen easily
That is a pawn and a piece up for white. Nice combination.

1. Qg7+ Kg7
2. Ne6+ King moves
3. Nc5
White is a Bishop + Pawn ahead.
ok, it’s Qxg7+ and Nxe6+. that’s winning. greets! jan

Hi Susan polgar,
Well, others had already given the effective initial move “Qg7+” .
So after few initial moves nothing much needed than the rudimentary set of moves for White to win.
So,I think posting the complete set of moves – will not be interesting,so I am not posting the complete set of moves, for this chess puzzle.
