High quality games.
Así es como juega un GM?….patético, prostituye el más bello de los juegos…Destruye su esencia
As a chess blogger myself, my moral obligation is to promote chess as a loveable and honorable sport for all to enjoy.
Chess should be entertaining, just like other spectator sports.
Chess should be commercially sustainable, just like other spectator sports.
As long as we rationalize lifeless draws – particularly that of the Round 10 match between GMs Eljanov and So in the recently concluded Reykjavik Open 2013 – dead chess will have the legitimacy to be around.
Dead chess kills the potential commercial value of chess as a sport. Dead chess deprives the players of bigger fortune.
As long as chess players and teams value the championship in a single tournament the most at the expense of the beauty of the sport, the fullest potential of the sport could be so hard to attain.
With the narrowmindedness and shortmindedness of chess players and chess coaches and teams, the real victims are the chess players in the end.
This is how chess should be. Peace, peace unto thee!
What commercial value are you talking about? So and Wesley made PEANUTS for 14 days of work. Eljanov needs to take of his family, not you. Unless professional players get paid a decent income, they will do what they have to do to survive. 99% of the GMs in the world average $25,000 a year. Many of them make less than $10,000 a year. Stop with your stupid commercial value. Sadorra also drew quickly today with hope to tie for 1st. For this, he’ll make $1,000. Should he kill himself to please you?
no short draw rants this time around?? pathetic two-faced whiners..
It’s not our fault if you haven’t encountered the term ‘sarcasm’, duh.
