Wow! a Vietnamese chess player in the World Cup! I wonder if there are any persons of African descent invited, well guess not apparently we not qualified!!! hahaha. Susan it seems the top guys caught on to my knight trick, i guess im gunna have to use another trick to “mix em up” huh Susan? theses top guys are really funnnie!!! hahaha.
To Lionel Davis: It’s not surprising at all if Vietnamese players qualify to the World Cup. Vietnam now is in top 3 strongest chess nations in Asia, besides China and India. Our blitz team has just defeated China in Asian Indoor Games 3, our men team ranked 9th in the Olympiad 2008. Don’t consider Vietnam some remote or good-for-nothing country on the map!
The city supplied the training cost of $10,0000 for the player? it must be very nice.
Wow, you actually read anything that Lionel writes?!
Never EVER has he writen something that would make sence. I doubt this time it was any different.
Won’t bother to read it because I know I will just be disapointed if I do.
Oh my apologies anon1! , i got caught sleeping on Vietnam!!! I gotta study the Vietnamese games to see how they pulled that off! thanks! Now i know how Kasparov and the boys feel about this stuff they are being exposed to now from the “Blackies” hahaha. Anon2 of course i dont make sense im of African descent therefore we dont have a voice in your Eurocentric idea of chess! Susan, i just fattened his lip, huh? hehehehe!!!
Le Quang Liem is so fortunate to get financial support and a good coach. Wesley So prepared for this WC the same way he has trained all these years – coach-less and playing with Fritz. He’s lucky to even get funds to go to Khanty-Mansiysk. But he’ll beat Guseinov in the first round.
To Anon 11:35,
That was completely rude and uncalled for. You have no right to pass judgment on whether other people’s posts make sense or not. There could be cultural differences here and we have to respect that.
Do you read Lionel’s comments regulary on this blog? I have done it in the past, thus I know what I’m talking about. And I stand by my words: Never EVER did come something even half-reasonable out of Lionel’s mouth.
I read as many entries as I can, including Lionel’s posts. I don’t believe I’ve seen him write anything that intentionally hurts anyone. If at all, he keeps on humbly putting down his fellow African-descent chess players. He may not write in a style that pleases you, but as you had said, just don’t read his posts if you don’t wish to. You don’t have to be so cocky and sound like you’re a superior human being. It’s like kicking someone who’s simply smiling by the roadside, just because you don’t like the way he’s dressed.
He doesn’t put anybody down??? Are you serious?! He is a racist!!!
Yes, black person can be a racist too.
