21st World Senior Chess Championship 2011
The Championship will be held in Opatija, Croatia, from November 14, 2011 (arrival of the participants) until November 25th (day of departure) 2011.
The 21st World senior chess championship for men and women is open to all players representing the FIDE Chess Federations, regardless of their title or rating, providing that the men are older than 60 and women 50 years of age. For example, each participant in the 2011 Championship must be born in 1951 or earlier (women – 1961) to be allowed to participate. There is also no limit of participants per federation.
