Azerbaijani chess player best in world championship

Azerbaijan’s grandmaster Shahriyar Mammadyarov is the best chess player of the world team championship that has ended in Bursa (Turkey).

According to News.Az, Shahriyar Mammadyarov that took part in all nine contests has gained 8 points. This is the best indicator not only on the fourth board but also among all participants of the world championship.

Two more grandmasters from Azerbaijan are also among the best. Teymur Rajabov that gained 5 of 7 possible points took the second place on the second board while Rauf Mammadov with 3 out of 6 possible points became second in the reserve.
