The Yessentuki Open is scheduled to take place from 20-30th March, 2015, at the hotel Solnechnaya in Yessentuki, Stavropol Krai, Russia.

The tournament format will be 9-round Swiss with the time control 90′+30”.

The tournament will consist of four sections:
– Group A, FIDE rated and open to all players
– Group B, open for youth players U11 and U13
– Group C, for amateurs and unrated players
– Group D, blitz tournament (23rd March)

Yessentuki is a popular resort within the Caucasian Mineral Water system, located 40 kilometers from international airport in Mineralnye Vody. It is considered the cultural capital of Russia’s Greek population and even today towards ten percent of its population is made up of Pontic Greeks.
