The Latvian Chess Federation is holding the 4th Vladimir Petrov Memorial on 7-8th March, 2015, at the Jurmala City museum in Jurmala, Latvia.
The aim of the tournament is to pay the tribute to one of the brightest representatives of Latvian Chess ever who tragically died in Soviet camps during the Second World War. The tournament is supported by the family of Vladimir Petrov among others.
The tournament will be held in three groups A, B and C.
Tournament A is 11-round Swiss with the time control 15 minutes for each player plus 6 seconds increment for each move. First round on 7th of March 2015 at 15.00.
The total prize fund is 12900 Euros:

Tournament B is reserved for players rated 1800-2349. Time control is 14 minutes plus 5 seconds per move; Swiss system; 10 rounds. The prize fund will be 80% of all entry fees.
Tournament C is reserved for players rated less than 1800. Time control is 14 minutes plus 5 seconds per move; Swiss system; 10 rounds. The prize fund will be 75% of all entry fees.
