Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev visited the playing venue of the 2015 FIDE Women’s World Championship today.

Before the start of the second game of the second round he had a short tea meeting with the Russian chess players.

The Prime Minister and FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov made the first move in the game between Shen Yang and Alexandra Kosteniuk.

After the games started, the Prime Minister showed his interest in technology of live games transmission by visiting the FIDE technical room.

He proceeded to see the RCF Chess Museum and meet the members of the Appeals Committee.

Finally, the Prime Minister joined the Grandmasters Ilya Smirin and Sergey Shipov in the Russian live commentary box and then observed the chess robot in action.
