The 1st International Open Chess Tournament “Eftihios Krommidakis” is scheduled to take place from 13th to 19th April, 2015, in the Hotel Caldera Creta Paradise (****), Gerani, Platanias, in the Greek island of Crete.
The event is organized by Kydon Sports Club and Krommmidakis Group in collaboration with the Region of Crete, the Municipality of Chania and the Municipality of Platanias.
The tournament will be a 9-round Swiss FIDE event with time control 90′/ 40 + 30′ + 30″.
The prize fund will be awarded as follows: 1,000 €/ 700 €/ 350 €/ 150 €/ 100 €/ 50 €.
Additional prizes will be distributed to the best female players: 300 €/ 200 €/ 100 €.
Accomodation:
Chess players with ELO 2600+ will have free FB accommodation for 8 days in single room
Chess players with ELO 2500-2599 will have free FB accommodation for 8 days in double room.
Chess players with ELO 2450-2499 will have free accommodation (with breakfast) for 8 days, in double room.
The same conditions apply for women with 100 points less ELO.
Prices for players who would like to stay at the hotel of the tournament:
Double room with breakfast per day / per person 20€
Single room with breakfast per day/per person 28€
Family room (3 adults and a child) with breakfast per day/per person 26€
A special offer for the 2 first chess players who will confirm their participation in each ELO level 2000-2049, 2050-2099, 2100-2149, 2150-2199, 2200-2249, 2250-2299, 2300-2349, 2350-2399, 2400-2449: These 18 chess players will pay in double room with breakfast only the 50% of the cost (10€ per day/per person).
