The Elite Hotels Open and Lilla Elite Hotels Open took place from 13-15th February, 2015, in Vaxjo, a city in Sweden.

The events were played in an 8-round Swiss format with tempo of play 15′ + 5″ for the first 4 rounds and 90′ + 30″ for the second half of the tournament.

German Olympian and Webster University Senior GM Georg Meier won The Master Section convincingly with 7,5/8 points, leaving the nearest followers full point behind.

GM Erik Blomqvist from Sweden edged Ukrainian GM Yuri Solodovnichenko, FM Drazen Dragicevic from Serbia and GM Ralf Akesson from Sweden on a better tie-break score after the whole group finished the event with 6,5 points.

Swedish players Filip Björkman and Margo Polovnikova SWE tied for the first place in Lilla Elite Hotels Open with Norwegian Svein Dale on 6,5/8 points each, but Björkman prevailed on a superior tie-break score and took the gold.
