FIDE ARBITERS’ SEMINAR in Las Vegas, USA

A FIDE Arbiters’ Seminar is going to be organized from 16 to 18 June 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, by the US Chess Federation and under the auspices of FIDE.

The venue of the Seminar will be the Riviera Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada, 89109 USA.

The Lecturer will be IA Carol Jarecki (IVB), FIDE Lecturer and Assistant Lecturer will be IA Walter Brown (USA).

The language of the Seminar will be English.

The Seminar will give FIDE Arbiter norms and titles, according to the Regulations for the titles of the Arbiters.

SCHEDULE: Day 1 – Laws of Chess valid since 1/7/2014 emphasizing changes followed by Tournament Rules (5 Hours). Day 2 – Systems, Tie Breaks, Pairing Procedures, Title and Rating Regulations, Anti-Cheating (6 Hours). Day 3 – Electronic Clocks, general review, questions and answers followed by Exam (6 hours). Total of 17 hours.

PARTICIPANTS: 15 – 20 participants most expected from USA but all Federations welcome on first-come first-served basis.
