13th Parsvnath International Chess Festival

The 13th Parsvnath International Chess Festival is taking place on 9-16th January 2015 in the Ludlow Castle Sports Complex, New Delhi, India.

The event is split into 3 tournaments:
– Open A – 10-round Swiss tournament, open to all players rated 2000 and above
– Open B – 10-round Swiss tournament, open to all players rated 1999 and below
– Open C – 10-round Swiss tournament, open to all players rated 1599 and below

The prize fund in the amount of 30,000,000 Rs. (41,000 €) will be awarded as follows:
Open A main prizes (in Rs.): 300,000/ 200,000/ 100,000/ 80,000/ 60,000/ 40,000/ 30,000/ 25,000/ 20,000/ 20,000, etc.
Open B main prizes (in Rs.): 150,000/ 120,000/ 100,000/ 75,000/ 60,000/ 50,000/ 40,000/ 30,000/ 25,000/ 20,000, etc.
Open C main prizes (in Rs.): 150,000/ 100,000/ 70,000/ 60,000/ 50,000/ 40,000/ 30,000/ 25,000/ 20,000/ 15,000, etc.

The festival gathers more than 700 players. Top seed is Indian GM Abhijeet Gupta.
