The 2014 Chess World Cup Zonal 3.5 took place from 26th October to 5th November 2014 in Zhongshan, China.

The 11-round Swiss Open consisted of 54 players, including 6 GMs, 9 IMs, 4 FMs and 3 WGMs.

GM Wei Yi topped the event with 8.5/11 and qualified for the World Chess Cup in Baku 2015.

The second spot was taken by the runner-up GM Zhao Jun, who collected 8/11 points.
