  What if white doesnot try to queen his pawn but plays defensively?

  Difficult to judge.Restricting white K to files a and b by placing black K at d4 or nearby and both sides queening it seems black can draw.But I am not sure.There are so many possibilities which can not be assessed by unrated player like me.Some sample
  1…Ke4
  2.Bf1 Kf3
  3.c4 Kf2
  4.Bd3 Ke3
  5.Bf5 g3
  6.Bh3 Kd4
  7.Kb4 e5
  8.c5 e4
  9.c6 e3
  10.Bg4 g2
  11.c7 g1=Q
  12.c8=Q Qb1+
  13.Ka3 Qa1+ Black gives continuous checks or exchanges queens resulting in draw but I guess carlsen might have won.

  After looking for a while I did not understand the issue. So I looked at the tablebases and 3 moves are drawing…
