La Federación Iberoamericana de Ajedrez (FIBDA) and the Chess City of Linares, under the auspices of the City Council and the Spanish Chess Federation will hold the 5th Iberoamerican Chess Championship on 22-30th July at the Hotel Aníbal in Linares, Spain.

The tournament will be Open (Swiss system, 9 rounds) for the players registered in any of the 23 countries members of FIBDA.

Each FIBDA member is entitled to nominate one player for whom the accommodation will be covered by the organization.

The prize fund of 18,600 EUR will be distributed over 20 regular and 15 special elo prizes.

The top finishers will earn EUR 3500, 2400, 1700, 1400, 1200, 1000, respectively.
