Le is the correct answer.
So is inconsistent and will wither up and blow away. Giri and Caruana are talented enough to move on and make a fortune doing something less strenuous and a bit more predictable.
Also, in five years, there will still be people asserting Fischer was the best ever and making up excuses for his behavior.
I do not know.
I’m too old and tired.
Best regards.

I would vote for none of the above if that was an option.
While they will improve, based on the poll question, I do not think they will be ranked in the top five.
A better question would be: In five years time, who will have attained the highest ranking on the fide bi-monthly lists out of these players?
Giri – Giri – Giri – Giri.
I believe that Vachier-Lagrave will become a serious contender in the next few years.
Topalov
Among the 6 Elite players (Carlsen, Giri, Karjain, So, Caruana & Vachier-Lagrave) mentioned in the recently published “FIDE Rating of Top Junior Players by Age (February 2011)” by Chessbase.com on 05.02.2011, GMs Carlsen & Karjakin had already made it to the Top 5, could be the reason why they were excluded in the list & also they are already past their junior years including Vachier-Lagrave. This top 6 elite players, in Chess history, are players that registered high ratings in their Junior’s years (19 years old & below).
Le (19), Caruana(18), So(17) & Giri(16), who are the current Top Juniors, are indeed the next candidates to make it to the Top 5 in the next 3-years.

BTW, is there a cut off date for the POLL/Survey ???
I voted for So….coz i can see the future
This will be top 5 players in year 2014:
1. Wesley So 2830
2. Le Quang Liem 2815
3. Anish Giri 2810
4. Fabiano Caruana 2796
5. Vishy Anand 2780
Not in three years. It would be
nearly impossible to dislodge the
current world top ten or fifteen players within three years. Look at
Nakamura he is just hitting his stride at age 23. He is ranked #8.
Based on the current performance, Le got my vote.
Caruana is now #5 in the May FIDE ratings, and #4 in live ratings at 2700chess.com. Among Wesley So, Anish Giri and Liem, I’d say that based on their playing styles, their chances of getting to #5 or better in 3 years will be in this order: Wesley So, then Liem, then Giri.
Giri, though solid, has the most conservative playing style of the bunch, and a lot of his games end in draws. You can’t get to #5 or better in the rankings if you play like Giri.
Wesley So’s strategic, positional playing style reminds me of Capablanca. And in most of his games, you can see that he does play to win.
