The 25th International Open Roquetas de Mar is taking place on 2-6th January at the Hotel Bahia Serena in Roquetas de Mar, Almeria, Spain.
The event consists of the 9-round General Open with 133 participants and the 7-round U2150 Open with 93 participants.
Top rated players are GM Dmitry Svetushkin (MDA 2586), GM Jose Carlos Ibarra Jerez (ESP 2510), GM Karen Movsziszian (ARM 2509), GM Dragan Paunovic (SRB 2507), IM Renier Castellanos Rodriguez (ESP 2506), FM Arian Gonzalez Perez (CUB 2492) and last-year winner GM James Plaskett (ENG 2490).
