I remember biting my nails during this game – not at the time yet decided on who I wanted to win it.
Naturally, I missed Anand’s 34. … Ne3. (So, evidently, did Kramnik.) I wish I knew how far ahead Anand saw this resource. Does anyone know?

yes Anand saw it at least on his 26th move (it was also a crucial point behind Anand’s 27..Rc5 and 28..Rc3).
What about.
