The US is the only team not to participate in this year’s Women’s World Team Championship due to financial issue, as clearly stated in the email from Mr. Bill Hall to the organizer. Last minute negotiation for free rooms fell through. https://chessdailynews.com/more-of-the-uscf-womens-world-team-championship-saga/

If the real issue is money according to Hall’s email, why did they try to use some other lame excuses?
I don’t think money was the only issue of why the USA is not playing in Turkey.

2012 US Open here!
It’s the only issue in the email by Bill Hall. The story changed after they didn’t get the free rooms. The USCF can spin all the want but that’s not what happened.
It’s sort of sad. The USCF is not broke. There are lots of really good and hard working people there. I persoonally really like working at times with them. Never any issues about cash. Whoever was in the “Commitee” addressing this issue dropped the ball…and got greedy. Simple as that. It’s a Black eye oon the USCF which I know is trying hard to rebuild its goodo name. Only takes a few to hurt those efforts. I hope they root em out and clear up this nonsense before it happens again.
Why Humpy is not playing for India?
