Volgograd Rapid 2013
Russian Rapid Grand Prix – Cup of Russia for rapid chess “Volgograd 2013″, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the victory at Stalingrad, will be held on 11-14th January at the Sports Palace in Volgograd, Russia.
The tournament is organized by the Ministry of Sports of Russia, Russian Chess Federation, Volgograd Region Chess Federation, Volgograd Region Government and “King-Product”.
The playing format is 11 rounds of Swiss system with the time control 15 minutes + 10 seconds per move.
The guaranteed prize fund is 450,000 rubles (approx 11,300 EUR). The first place brings 1600 EUR, while the top woman prize is 380 EUR.
