Vitaly Teterev and David Howell share first in Wunsiedel

The 6th Wunsiedel Schach-Festival took place from 17th to 20th May at the Fichtelgebirgshalle, 95632 Wunsiedel, Germany.

The event is organized by the Festspielstadt Wunsiedel – Stadtsportverband in cooperation with the family Zier and Klaus Steffan.

The Masters Tournament, for players rated over 1800, featured 106 participants.

After seven rounds of play, Grandmasters Vitaly Teterev of Belarus and top seed David Howell of England shared the first place with 6 points each. Teterev takes the winner’s trophy on better tie-break.
