Optical illusions display quite differently on computer monitors, if the size of the picture is different, and behave differently if printed out. I know the one you displayed here, which doesn’t show the expected effect, if one looks at it on the opening blog screen, only if one clicks on it and makes it full screen. The effect again goes away, if one clicks on the + sign to further magnify the picture. That’s why you probably didn’t get any appropriate reaction (people didn’t click to magnify, after seeing nothing first 🙂
A special effect from the old “Time Tunnel” TV series. 🙂
a picture of someone’s belly button? LOL 🙂 hehe
Oh! I know this! My own self loathing?… dang, I’d do bad at a shrink test. 😛
It’s what VK saw after 35.Qh7#
😉
Agree with what VK saw after the blunder of all times..
It’s my belly-button
As I stare at the image my mind becomes numb…. & I get really really sleepy ….
then I feel urge to support Susan Polgar in her bid for a seat on the USCF executive board 😉
VOTE FOR SUSAN !!!

For an old graphic design joke, since the following (to the tune of “That’s Amore”):
When those lines hit your eye
Like a big piece of pie
That’s a moiré
er, “sing” the following …
Try to move the mouse wheel while watching the picture. There is an interesting optical effect then.
