The 9th edition of the traditional Vandoeuvre Open 2013 will take place 2-6 January in France. A total of 172 participants have signed up, among them over 41 GMs, IMs, and FMs.
Top seeded is GM David Alberto who recently returned to Italy and claimed the national championship. His main competition comes from GMs Tornike Sanikidze, Jean Pierre Le Roux, Matthieu Cornette, and Vadim Malakhatko.
Two games will be played per day for a total of 10 rounds. The time control is 90 minutes + 30 seconds for the whole game. Rounds start daily at 10:00 CET and 16:00 CET, the first day at 10:30 CET and 17:00 CET, and the final round is at 15:30 CET.
