This is a Valentine’s Day reminder for the gentlemen 🙂 Valentine’s Day is tomorrow! It is kind of funny because I do not think that Hallmark, Jewelers and all the flower companies would allow you to forget with all their constant commercials.
What is your ideal Valentine’s Day? What is the most romantic thing you have ever done on Valentine’s Day?
Chess Daily News from Susan Polgar
Spend a quiet evening with my boyfriend 🙂
Okay, Susan – you know you’re not going to get away with this. What is YOUR idea of the perfect Valentine’s Day? You pitch in on this, too! (Grin!)
I don’t watch television, or shop at “malls,” so I haven’t seen a single commercial.
So it is nice to have a reminder in a more important place of communications. 🙂
To me the most romantic Valentine’s Day is a sunset picnic in the woods next to the first lilies. The best time I had, we also drank wine and played chess by the campfire.
This is a great year for me, because the lilies are right on time this week. 🙂
I should close this website and try to buy some flowers! Thanks for the remainder!
Possible that it isn’t the most romantic, but…….I made a virtual rose to my wife, printed it out, framed it and gave it to her.

My husband and I (17 years married, 22 years as a couple) generally don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day as we regard it as a “Hallmark Holiday.” However, now that we have kids, our house is full of construction paper, heart stickers, chocolates because they have to give Valentines to all of their classmates and teachers. We all go out to dinner and celebrate being a family.
Wouldn’t it be so much better if we just loved our partners as much as we could? I really dislike the idea that I need a special day to do nice things for my Babe. Somehow, a day like Valentine’s cheapens the rest of the year, so I object!
Valentine’s is somewhat forced down our throats. We comply, of course. It’s a crime not to make the woman happy, somehow, flowers and all, but one needs to get creative. Repetition kills it. But the best moments by far are when things happen spontaneously, outside of the Holyday framework…

Oh, how I wish they were Brooklyn Dodgers…
So sexist. Why not send a reminder to the gentlewoman?
Obviously I am single. :((
