Naka did well,justifying his rating. He defeated all his opponents – the young pretender Giri, Womens WC Yifan and the ever solid Tiviakov. Go Naka!!
Yifan did well enough,as her two draws vs Giri shows. Pity Giri is doing an Anand and trying to draw and not lose. Can understand Anand,as he is getting on in age and his WC title seems to make him over cautious. But young Giri needs to up his game a la Carlsen or even Naka. Good job by Naka, a solid and convincing win,nonetheless.
I’m sorry to see Giri playing such flat chess, but that seems to have been his pattern lately.
