Hey! How are we supposed to “guess” when we right click and check the name of the photo and it doesn’t give away the answer? (Ha, just kidding! Nice photo, certainly far more recent than their epic championships. Certainly a classic Kasparov pose with hands to his head and is watch off. Thanks for posting it.)
This is I think between 2003-2004. The event is a chess promotion of Fritz 3d (or something to that effect) I vaguely recall this cos I saw it in Chess Life magazine. (again i cant fully recall the mag) Its the chess magazine which people like Susan, Robert Byrne & Pal Benko are regular article contributors.
This is the rapid match between Karpov and Kasparov which Karpov won in New York City.
This is definitely Lasker Steinitz 8th round match in Hastings 1903.
I think I saw this scene in the movie Game Over.
Year 2002, Ney-York. “X3D-Fritz” rapid 4-game match between Kasparov and Karpov. Karpov won 2.5-1.5. This match is shown at the end of the “Game over: Kasparov and the machine” film.

Bobby isnt the only one. MANY agree with him. Fine, Evans, Reshevsky, Spassky and Korchnoi have all publicly said several times that Russian players cheat.
I don’t know, but my guess is that the players are Karpov and Kasparov.
I can clearly recongize the guy on the right to be Kasparov. Teh other i dont know, but my guess is Paul Morphy and that game was played in 2000.
I don’t know either of the players, but Sam Sloan told me that the man on the left is KGB, and the man on the right just found out that his 14-yr old daughter missed her second period
Sam also told me that Bobby told him that the player on the left recieves coded move instructions through a vibrating sensory microchip near the index finger of each hand, so if he appears to be brooding over a move he is actually receiving coded move instructions from the new-KGB’s secret, buried chess mainframe: Deep Spitz.
