Is it a long variation? After 1.f7, it seems it is a clear win. B doesn’t have many moves.
1…Nxh6 2. gxh6 Bxh6 3. Kxe7 g5 4. Ke8, followed by e7 and f8Q wins.
1…Nf6 2. gxf6 checkmates faster.
1…Bg7 2. hxg7+ Kxg7 3. Ke8 also is a win.
There must be a stalemate threat somewhere making this puzzle difficult. I just not see it.
f7 seems to win it for white in way to many variations to type in.
I dislike difficult puzzle,please provide puzzle with difficlty level,those who are not interested to solve easy puzzles can skip easy ones…

Black’s position is very bad so white can play 1. f7 and black does not have many moves. A bishop sacrifice (after which f7 can promote) or Nf6 2. gxf6 lose outright, so 1. -, Nxh6 2. gxh6, g5 (winning one tempo compared with 2. -, Bxh6) as white has to play 3. Ke8 (now g4 is much too slow), Bxh6 4. Kxe7 and now what? Is there anything black can do against (g4) 5. Ke8 (g3) 6. e7 (g2) followed by f8Q+?
Hmmm. But a really nice position given which animates to solving it. 🙂

3)Ke8 threatening f8 = Q
1)f7+ Bxh6
2)gxh6 and f8=Q is unavoidable because the h6 pawns prevents Black King’s access to g7

2)gxh6 g5 (if Bxh6 immediately, Kxe7 transposes to the main line)
